Our stay at the Tara Villa
Our stay at the Tara Villa was truly an amazing experience. Every aspect of our stay definately exceeded our expectation. Every meal that was prepared by Sharon was exceptional, tasty and delicious. Aranda the housekeeper kept our villa clean and in order throughout our stay. The location was great and in close proximity to the beach, restaurants and of course shopping. Thank you once again for hosting the Best family.

excellent chef and a most intelligent woman and I did enjoy our kitchen

Christmas 2022 & a 30/60 Birthday Celebration with our Daughters, their families and parents. Plunge pool was a hit! Sharon spoiled us all with fantastic bajan influenced meals. Don't leave without having her cook some fresh fish! amanda was a pleasure to have working to keep the house fresh and clean. What a treat to meet both Sharon & Amanda! Sharon was also kind enough to share some of her cooking tips with us o we can recreate some dishes at home. The house was very comfortable and the beach and beach club; perfect for all. The catamaran sunset cruise was a highlight! Enjoy your stay! We will certainly be back!

We all had a lovely time staying in Villa Tara - Merle & Aranda were lovely ladies and Merle is a fantastic cook - we recommend Merles chicken pasta and jerk chicken curry - The Monkeys were very entertaining - Hudsons have been to Barbados several times and love it here - recommend fist pot restaurant in Speightstown. We will be back for more waterskiing, jetskis and speak to Curley at Zaccios Bar.

7 adults stayed at Villa Tara for 2 weeks. The location is fantastic - 5 minute walk to the new Massey grocery story and then walk across the street to the beach. Our cook Merle was amazing - her cooking was better than most restaurants - we only wish she would give us more ideas of what she can make - we had to scour the little book in the villa to find out from others what we should request! There is lots of room for a large group and we spent every meal and evening on the huge deck. The house was kept spotless and our clothes and towels were washed every day - we couldn't have been more spoiled. When the air conditioning quit in the master bedroom, as soon as we contacted the building manager it was quickly fixed. We rented a van and were glad that we did as we tried a different beach every day. They provided plenty of beach towels and a large cooler to do just that. Holetown has everything that you need and the local people were wonderful. I don't think we could have stayed at a better location.I would highly recommend Villa Tara and we will definitely book it when we return to Barbados.

What a wonderful way to begin a new year! Being in Barbados is always amazing but this visit was extra relaxing because of the comfortable and spacious accomodations at Tara. My family easily went from very active to very relaxed thanks to the service provided by Merle and Aranda who always had our meals prepared and laundry done. Everything was clean and well stocked, especially with towels even without having to ask. The house is beautiful and well appointed and convenient to shopping and the beach. Our three sons enjoyed splashing in the pool and lounging in the chairs . Dining al fresco was also fun. We will be back to Barbados again and hope a return stay at Tara is possible. Superb vacation! Merle and Aranda are wonderful! The house was always super clean - even with our endless sand and cannonballs in the splash pool. The food was terrific. Merle and Aranda went out of their way to make our stay at the Tara House as pleasant as possible. We really enjoyed eating jerk chicken, perfectly seasoned hamburgers and spaghetti night after night at the outdoor dining table. We especially enjoyed the numerous chocolate cakes and homemade brownies that were lovingly prepared for us each day. Aranda did a fabulous job with the laundry and the house was kept very well. We also really enjoyed the amenities the property had to offer. Our daughters, eight and eleven, spent fun-filled days in the splash pool. We also had a movie day, which was easily accomplished because of the iPhone docking systems in the bedrooms. It was easy to download netflix movies from our phone, no video store required. Thank you for renting your lovely home to us!

Two years later and we are back at the Tara and once again thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Merle and Aranda are wonderful. My favorite dish this time round was Merle's chicken curry and still the pumpkin fritters. Merle fish cakes - was better than Oistins. The upgrade to the beach house - WOW!! Well spent money and the beach there was WONDERFUL. We didn't trip around much to other beaches this time but stayed at the beach house. To the owners - THANK YOU!! Your villa is wonderful and nicely decorated. We will be back in two years!!!

I especially enjoyed staying at the villa that is my namesake. Everything was wonderful. The house was so beautiful and welcoming. I loved the villa so much I would like to take it off your hands. LOL! Merle and Aranda were gracious and made our stay unforgettable. We dined on succulent roast chicken, rice and beans, macaroni pie, shepherd's pie, pumpkin fritters (the best ever) and the rum punch was refreshing! July 2013 Beautiful Villa with convenient location
Spent 2 weeks with family and friends. The villa is gorgeous and extremely close to the center of Holetown (maximum a 5 minute walk to the grocery store and Surfside beach). I have stayed at many villas in Holetown over the years and this was probably the best location (unless you can afford a villa direct on the beach). We had morning visits on most days from the local monkeys (they use the back fence as a highway). Merle and Aranda (I hope I spelt her name correctly) took very good care of us the whole time and we really appreciated the hard work and long hours they put in. The local Property Manager (Michelle) was also helpful and accommodating especially given that we kept calling her because people kept locking themselves out of their safe (the local rum punch will make you do silly things if taken in large enough quantities). I would have given the villa an excellent rating except for 1 thing (although it is not the villa's fault). The neighbor next door is probably the most unpleasant person I have ever dealt with. Our first introduction to him was at about 8PM on our second night when he shoved his head through the bushes and started yelling we were being too loud. Granted we were having a good time but not so loud as to deserve such treatment. Had he been polite we would have been very accommodating and understanding. I could go on and on about the different "encounters" with him but suffice it to say, any noise level above what you hear in a library will get a reaction from him - no matter what the time of day is...We did eventually learn how to deal with him, and what initial upset us we now see as funny memories and stories to tell our friends, so I would definitely go back. Just wanted to give everyone fair warning ;-)

Our first time here at Tara and Barbados! What a beautiful country! The villa stay was exceptional! Complete amenities and beautiful house! What an amazing time we had at Villa Tara. We were visiting Barbados for our friends’ wedding and our stay here was perfect. Merle and Aranda were wonderful and prepared us yummy scrambled eggs, beans and toast every morning. Merle also made us the BEST pancakes which went down a treat. On our last day, a fantastic lunch of homemade jerk chicken, macaroni pie and salad was made for us which was again incredibly yummy!
